As part of the Transition Year course we went to 1stDrive.

While there we got the chance to experience life behind the wheel. We learned motor safety awareness and also learned basic car mechanics.

As part of the safety awareness we learnt the life threathening dangers of drink driving and driving while under the influence of drugs or fatigue.

We each had an individual driving lesson for half an hour in which we got to drive around a racing track.

This gave us an insight into what it's like to drive and what precautions are necessary to drive safely.

This was one of the most enjoyable and educational trips we went on during the year.
